What are you cosplaying this year :'D?

If any of you cosplay here, what are your cosplay plans(+progress) for the year?

I'm planning on being:
Sealand/ Peter Kirkland [Axis Powers Hetalia] (May MCMexpo) (I have the material + wig)
Okita Sougo [Gintama] (May MCMexpo) (ordered the wig)

So, cosplay anyone???

yes XD I was sitting in a chair when they walked in, and as they've walked in, I've sunk down and pressed the tips of my fingers together, all creepy like, and two of them nearly had heart attacks XD so funny.

I wanted to cosplay N. Italy/Feliciano from APH this year, but... my chest is too big. -shot-
That said, I'm not sure what I'm going to cosplay this year. I'm going to Otakon xD

Sorry if I hadn't been on but I went to Momo Con last weekend. Fun convention but crowded as hell......seriously we had to squish our way.

Um...I did cosplay since 2006. I've done quite a lot actually but honestly my old computer deleted all of my cosplay photos I ever saved. I can show you what I cosplayed. Usually I am very picky with what I cosplay so it has to be perfect. but here was some costumes that I did.

I wish I could show you the photos though.....but all of them were gone ;w;

The costumes above were pretty simple to make. All I did was purchase fabric (mainly silk) which was...pretty expensive. For designs like the korean hanbok dress (third pic), I used a method called screen printing to design..........argh it was super hard...and expensive.

This one, erm....took me like freakin year and a half to do cause of the details. This was the only picture I could find of her at that time and also i had the play the game several times to understand her design. I was so tired of making this costume cause it took a lot of time and money from me. (thus why smoodle I disappeared for like 6 months)

But this year at AWA 2009, I am damn determined to make Onion Knight from Final Fantasy Dissidia. Me and a couple of my friends are doing costume design. My friend Alex is doing Garland, my friend Cynthis is doing Tidus, her boyfriend Vaku is doing Squall and Meagan is doing Zidane. Just hoping that this year costume will be a huge success. Cause that year we have a photoshoot.

Honestly I am still deciding on the following 3 Onion Knights. I might have to do Mage due to the large amount of time and money the other costumes will cost. But yeah these are the following 3 costumes. I would be happy to get your opinions.

That seems like a fairly ambitious cosplay, but looking at your pics from previous cosplays, I feel that you'll be able to pull this one off!

I want to cosplay Luffy at the Animecon this year o3o But unfortunately I think my chest is too big as well -fail- DX Also I've never cosplayed before and I think that Luffy's outfit is something I could pull off :3

On the other hand.... I'd really want to cosplay Tsukasa from Lucky Star cause my personality fits with her perfectly at times, I'd be IC by being myself which'd be like... awesome xD ...Not to mention the outfit's adorable

-tilts head- Any advices for a first time cosplayer? :3

Um, there is a way you can pull Luffy off, but it depends on your bust size. I have the same problems when I am cosplaying as a guy. There are some stores hopefully that has binding shirts. or you could bind your chest yourself. Cause I had some binding cloth from my first aid and it worked.

My friend Neko did Samurai Luffy and she had the same problem. So when she had the binding shirt, it wasn't as bad. In fact her chest look flatter. If you have a bust over B I suggest you try a male character with looser clothing. For example, instead of regular Luffy, you can do him in his Arabasta outfit. It's loose so your chest won't be shown and the clothing can be bought online.

I'm thinking of cosplaying Miranda from D.Gray-man this year... does anyone know that series? XD

@ Pocky: Yeah, I adore the art for D Gray man and I would love to see a Miranda Cosplay. And yes, there are binding shirts but you might have to order them online. Some stores sell them but it's pretty rare these days cause the shirts usually have to be customized for you. But hope your Miranda cosplay works for you.

Yeah, there aren't many Miranda cosplays... that I've seen, anyway... I'm hoping I can pull it off, she's a little a lot prettier and skinner than I am, so xD

Besides Onion Knight, I might be doing Tsuna's Hyper Dying Will from Reborn. But the problem is that I cannot find a place where they might have the gloves and ring I require. I can get the wig and make the clothes easily. I really need help finding these specific items.

This is the character: If you can give me tips on creating the flames, I would love to hear your idea.



Sky ring: If you can tell me where you find a site with this similar ring.



Vongola X Gloves: If you can't find the site to buy them. I need to find a tutorial on how to make the gloves by hand.
